1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Rune ("the Service"), operated at https://SecondSelfHQ.com ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rune is a workspace agent that generates documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files based on your instructions. The Service includes personalization features, file storage, integrations with third-party services, and team management capabilities.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Subscription and Payment

• The Service is available on a paid subscription basis. Pricing is listed on the Website.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law.
• We use Stripe to process payments. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
• If payment fails, your account may be suspended until payment is resolved.

6. Team Accounts

Team administrators are responsible for the activity of all employees they invite to the Service. Team administrators may view employee-generated documents and usage data as described in the Service features.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Generate content that is harmful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to it.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use the Service to send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited communications.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission.

8. Your Content

• You retain ownership of all content you upload, create, or generate using the Service ("Your Content").
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
• We do not claim ownership of Your Content and will not use it for training AI models.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content.

9. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate documents and other outputs. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before using, distributing, or relying on it. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, features, and documentation, is the property of the operator and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services (email providers, calendar services, cloud storage, payment processors). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from downtime.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

16. Termination

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the payment provider's portal.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before cancellation.
• We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes after termination.

17. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings. Account deletion permanently removes your data, files, generated documents, conversation history, and personalization documents. This action cannot be undone.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or notice on the Website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
